Students and faculty across Region 12 will join the nation during the month of February to celebrate national Career and Technical Education (CTE) MonthTM. This year’s theme is Celebrating Classroom Innovators! CTE Month provides CTE programs across the country an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE educates students to be college- and career-ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand career fields.
“The activities planned over the next month will illustrate the rigor and relevance CTE courses offer our students,” said Christine Holecek, Career & Technical Education specialist at Education Service Center (ESC) Region 12. “By partnering with the business community, CTE programs are investing in students’ lives with the latest technology and skills that will prepare them to become successful employees as well as future leaders.”
Participants can search and use the social media hashtag #region12CTE to recognize CTE innovators around Region 12.
CTE workshops this month include: High School Financial Planning and New, Emerging and Evolving Careers.
