The preliminary 2016–17 Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) for your district and each campus in your district are now available through the Texas Education Agency Secure Environment (TEASE) Accountability application. Note that the cover page of the preliminary TAPR does not include the final state academic accountability rating, distinction designations, or special education determination status. To access the preliminary 2016–17 TAPR, log onto the TEASE Accountability application at https://seguin.tea.state.tx.us/apps/logon.asp, and click the TAPR tab at the top of the welcome page. Please see the instructions below for accessing the Accountability application.

The preliminary 2016–17 TAPR, TAPR Glossary, and TAPR Guidelines are also available on TEA public website. The TAPR Glossary contains definitions and methodologies for all items found in the TAPR. The TAPR Guidelines are intended to help districts fulfill their legal responsibilities regarding the TAPR and annual report of their educational performance.

About the TAPR

The TAPR will not be mailed to districts, but it can be printed directly from TEASE. The data have been masked; you may release the TAPR as provided on TEASE to the public.

In November, TEA will post to its website the final 2016–17 TAPR. At that time, the cover page of the final TAPR will be updated to include the final state academic accountability rating, distinction designations, and special education determination status.

The November release of the final TAPR starts the 90-day public dissemination period (Thanksgiving and winter break not included). Within 90 days, districts must hold a hearing for public discussion of the annual report of their educational performance, which includes the final TAPR. Districts must also widely publish their annual reports along with the final TAPR within two weeks following the public hearing.

How to Access the TEASE Accountability Application

If you have access to TEASE Accountability, you will see ACCT – Accountability listed as one of the Web applications. Launch ACCT – Accountability.

  • Superintendents who do not have access to TEASE Accountability must request a username and password through the TEASE Applications Reference page.

You may also use this reference page to reset your TEASE password. If you are unsure whether you have TEASE access and/or have forgotten your TEASE username, e-mail TEA Security at ComputerAccess@tea.texas.gov.

Please share the information in this email with your principals; they will not be notified separately. If you have questions about these reports, please contact your ESC or call the Performance Reporting Department at (512) 463-9704.
